A Very, Very Merry Christmas
We had a pretty busy day, first we went to Grammy's house, then to Grandma's house and finally to Great Grandma's house. I was very happy and very tired at the end of the day.
I think my favorite present was seeing how happy James and Andrew were.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Beautiful Fall
Fall is my favorite time of year. I just love changing leaves, cooler temperatures and wonderful fall food like homemade donuts and pumpkin chocolate chip bread. I also love fall clothes, sweaters, boots, scarfs. Oh fall is wonderful. Andrew is quite excited about Halloween. And James has been enjoying watching football this fall. Autumn is fun for the whole family. I took these pictures of fall foliage in our back yard.

Rain, rain and more rain
There has been so much rain the last couple of days here in Bountiful. To pass the time Andrew and I have been looking out our front window and watching the birds on the bird feeder. Not a bad way to spend a little time. We hope it's not so rainy next week.

Mother Musings

Yesterday was Andrew's last day of preschool. Now he is on summer vacation. Preschool will start up again in the fall. To celebrate the preschool had a field day. We played with bubbles and balls, we ate popsicles and played with a para shoot. It was real fun.
I can't believe Andrew is already through one year of preschool. I had such a hard time getting used to him going, and now he is a first year preschool graduate. It seems like just last week he was a baby.....sob sob.
What a great boy. I'm so lucky to have him.

Dinosaur Park

Today Andrew and I went to the Ogden Dinosaur Park. We had a really great time. Adrienne and her two kids came along too. The park is full of dinosaur statues and there is a dinosaur themed playground. There is also a small museum. Andrew's favorite part is on the second floor of the museum, dinosaur robots. He thought it was the greatest thing every and he talked about it the whole way home. It was a fun afternoon.
My goal this summer is too have an outing like this every week. We bought a Aviary membership this week. The membership allows us to get into several places for free, like the zoo, and the train museum. I hope Andrew and I can have an exciting summer.

A Lovely Mother's Day

We enjoyed a lovely Mother's Day on Sunday. James and Andrew brought me breakfast in bed. Then it was off to church and my Mom's house. We had a lovely lunch and Sandy gave me a very cute wall hanging. James gave me a bracelet, and Andrew gave me Penelope the movie. It was quite nice. The day was topped of by delicious strawberries at every meal. I sure do like Mother's Day!

Summer Plans

Well, I have just a few days of school left this semester. Then I will on summer break from school. I want to have an exciting summer so I would like to make some plans. I want to go on a walk each weekend. I would like to take Andrew to: Dinosaur Land, the Children's Museum, Cherry Hill, our community recreation center splash pad (several times), the Bountiful city parade and carnival, and maybe a trip to our family cabin.
For plans as far as James and me- I would like to go out on several dates. I would like to play tennis and attend an outdoor concert. I would like to have a picnic in the mountains.
Personally I would like to read two books. Also I have considered trying to volunteer somewhere one afternoon a week. We'll see I guess.
Happy Summer Planning!

Happy Easter!
Shangri-la diet
I've been thinking a lot today about dieting. Earlier I thought I might try a liver cleanse. You know, it's really in right now to cleanse. But it sounds really unpleasant. So I was talking to my Mom and she said my Dad is doing the shangri-la diet. All you do is take a teaspoon of olive oil twice a day. My Dad has lost four pounds this week and he is a work retreat. He says he just doesn't feel hungry. I'm going to talk to him about it this weekend.

Baby shower for Chelle

On Saturday Anne and I are hosting a baby shower for Chelle and her new baby Aubrey. I 've already sent out the invitations. They were very cute. But today I have been thinking about plates and napkins and cups. I saw these on EZ party zone.com (terrible name) I hope there is something good at the Dollar Store or Walmart. Any way I just hope we can get something cute and cheap.

A very pleasant birthday
On March 18, I had a very pleasant birthday. We blew up balloons, had cake and presents! All week Andrew had been giving me clues about a surprise present. One clue was that it uses bird seed. I was excited to see what the present would be. It was a bird feeder! We have all enjoyed watching birds together out the living room window.
We also took a trip to the neighborhood park. The weather was wonderful. Then we played some games and got dinner at the Pizza Factory. All in all a very pleasant birthday.

Why I like Twilight

I know I fit the cliche stereotype, the Mormon housewife who really likes Twilight but that's the just way it is. I just like it. The books are casually written which makes it easy to read while keeping an eye on the kids. But, the real reason I like Twilight is because it is an escape. The Twilight world is quite similar to ours but it is enough different that it becomes a world that a lonely housewife can escape too for vampire adventure. And then when I come back to real life I see that my life is better than I thought. I have a husband who adores me and the best little boy in the whole world.

My Tulips
Last Night I was not feeling well. So James let me go to bed while he took Andrew to the store. They came back with pretty tulips for me and a white cupcake and a chocolate cupcake. I have such a good, kind, husband. He even put them in a vase for me and brought them to my bedside table. I love James.

Lunch at the Dairy Ann
Today Chelle took Andrew and me to the Dairy Ann for lunch. It was very tasty. I had the deluxe cheeseburger, fries and a strawberry shake. It was the best strawberry shake I have had in a long time. Andrew had a hamburger and some of my fries. He also seemed to enjoy it. Chelle got a deluxe hamburger and a Butterfinger shake. Then it was back to my house for some nice chit chat. We both agree that the Kenison boys are the best around. Here's to Chelle! I hope she has the baby soon.

Lamb and Lion
I would say this March is coming in like a lamb. We have had some very windy weather today. Did you know that this lamb and lion business actually comes from astronomy. It is about two constellations and how they move around the sky during the month of March

Mittens! A new hobby

I think I have found my new hobby. On the LDS church humanitarian website there are lists of things that people can make for humanitarian needs. I am going to make mittens for orphans. Their hands get cold too and what better way to warm them up that with cute, happy, mittens.
Tonight or tomorrow I will go to Michaels and get some supplies. I will post my first attempt on here. Good luck me!
